Black Hat SEO - Don't Even Think About It!

Many website owners and businesses sooner or later become eager to speed up the process of becoming visible in the search engine results for their targeted keywords. It is important to realize that real organic growth takes time and speeding up the process will only cause more harm than good. Black Hat search engine optimization efforts are an easy way out that at most only offer search engine rankings for a short period of time.

Google is always on the hunt for anyone or any business that takes part in any black hat search engine optimization techniques. Do you want to put the livelihood of your business on a gamble? Because that is what it is, a big gamble with many unknowns. The search engines might not find you today or tomorrow but eventually you might get sucked onto their radar and when that happens it could take years to remove a Google penalty. Black hat techniques do not build up your branding or allow you to become visible in social networking website. Black hat SEO techniques don't allow you to become an authority site either. Don't assume rankings are the end all be all because they are not. It takes much more than just rankings to grow a successful business online. When you build your business online the right way you launch press releases and industry specific articles along with making communication efforts real time with potential customers and clients through a variety of social platforms. All this creates substance for your brand. When someone searches your company name online they need to see proof that you are around for the long haul and not a fly by night with decent search engine rankings.

Since the launch of Google they have been battling over spam and black hat SEO individuals. Every update is another step closer to cleaning up search results and allowing web pages that have worked hard to get there be visible. If you are going to exert energy to deliver website traffic to your blog or business do it the right way. Google has now shifted their algorithm that favors websites that proactively brand themselves online using all resources available. This is a direct change to shift businesses and website owner's online marketing intentions to a much more clean and robust form of marketing and communication. The days of finding loop holes in the search engines and hammering them into the ground are over.

I'm not sure what the heck a Black Hat SEO is, but I'm glad to know not to use it; now only if I knew what it was! I guess it's time to do some research, then again, maybe not:)

great information , there are tactics to SEO and web earnings and proper methods have to be followed .

This, from people spamming me.....

I wish that everyone would avoid such techniques. The fact is, blackhat has been around a long time and unfortunately, there will always be those who would rather cheat their way to the top. I sure hope that Google does come up with some ways to defeat them. Thanks for posting.

Your not the only one who hasn't quite figured out what that post was talking about. I'm not a programmer, but what I don't understand is if you have a blog what's the harm in trying to maintain your blog name at or near the top of listings? I want my blog name out there and to be seen. When I hear the words "Black Hat Seo" my first thought is some nefarious underground Government entity watching us. Anyways....that's my next thing I type into the browser line! There ain't nothing on TV anyway. Richard ~~ Hard Tymes hardtymes.com

thanks for the info, but, just like several others, I hoped for more info on what precisely the black hat techniques were. no worries though. there are plenty of other sources.

I can see the confusion since the title clearly states "Black Hat SEO - Don't Even Think About It!" Maybe the article was written more for link bait than an explanation. ;) With that said Taripre$ we have written several articles about what Black hat SEO is... here is one I would like to share with you. http://ow.ly/tzXz We discuss a few of the methods used in SEO. Cheers!

I have no clue what black hat is maybe an description at the beginning of article would help for those of us that are not so savvy! tailknottr.com

I've been looking at using engineseekers.com to promote my site. Has anyone had any experience with them?

The Tortoise wins in the end, you may get a quick fix BHing but in the long run I would rather have my sites up there for years instead of months.
