Many website owners and businesses sooner or later become eager to
speed up the process of becoming visible in the search engine results
for their targeted keywords. It is important to realize that real
organic growth takes time and speeding up the process will only cause
more harm than good. Black Hat search engine optimization efforts are
an easy way out that at most only offer search engine rankings for a
short period of time.
Google is always on the hunt for anyone or any business that takes part in any black hat search engine optimization techniques. Do you want to put the livelihood of your business on a gamble? Because that is what it is, a big gamble with many unknowns. The search engines might not find you today or tomorrow but eventually you might get sucked onto their radar and when that happens it could take years to remove a Google penalty. Black hat techniques do not build up your branding or allow you to become visible in social networking website. Black hat SEO techniques don’t allow you to become an authority site either. Don’t assume rankings are the end all be all because they are not. It takes much more than just rankings to grow a successful business online. When you build your business online the right way you launch press releases and industry specific articles along with making communication efforts real time with potential customers and clients through a variety of social platforms. All this creates substance for your brand. When someone searches your company name online they need to see proof that you are around for the long haul and not a fly by night with decent search engine rankings.
Since the launch of Google they have been battling over spam and black hat SEO individuals. Every update is another step closer to cleaning up search results and allowing web pages that have worked hard to get there be visible. If you are going to exert energy to deliver website traffic to your blog or business do it the right way. Google has now shifted their algorithm that favors websites that proactively brand themselves online using all resources available. This is a direct change to shift businesses and website owner’s online marketing intentions to a much more clean and robust form of marketing and communication. The days of finding loop holes in the search engines and hammering them into the ground are over.

I can see the confusion since the title clearly states “Black Hat SEO – Don’t Even Think About It!” Maybe the article was written more for link bait than an explanation.
