PPC Search Tips – Landing Pages

I’m getting a little tired of all these newsletters and articles, “TOP
TEN TIPS” and “Do These 4 Things and Make Millions”, it’s all about
some golden check list that you MUST follow, if you don’t your face
will fall off and you will turn an off color green

Now all that said and done I have just published another AddMe newsletter that does follow the above format though this one is different – it’s informative and useful, especially if you’re running or planning on running a search marketing campaign i.e. Google AdWords and other PPC search engines.

The article outlines some key points when considering running a PPC search camping, knowing your audience, market place, identifying goals that you want this campaign to achieve and my favourite – the use of landing pages to control the traffic the search campaign channels to the site.

Landing pages are key when developing a Google AdWords or any other paid search campaign. To many times now I have clicked through a paid search ad finding myself landing on the index page of a website or a page that’s loosely related to the search I had performed.

If you were to walk into a shop and the shop assistant made is difficult for you to find and purchase what you were looking for 1. Would you make the purchase 2. Would you go back to that shop? If you answered No, you would not go back to that shop then you should understand why landing pages are SO important.

The landing page controls the click through, makes sure the searcher is presented with what they are looking for at the same time keeping them focused and driving them to complete the goals set out in your search marketing plan.

Anyhow enough from me check out the article I’m sure after this read your PPC activities will be much more fruitful.

Search marketing is a great way to promote your business. It allows you to target exactly who you want to target quickly and attract them to your site. I use a combination of both Google Adwords PPC and Adwido Video marketing.

  2. Common mistake in PPC landing pages is having an extremely generic landing page. In reality, you should have a different landing page for every single product that you are promoting. The fact of the matter is that someone clicked on your link because they were interested in a specific product. This is why it is important to have your page contain information that only pertains to this product.
