7 Copywriting Tips to Boost Your Website Traffic

Copywriting Boost Website Traffic

Creating a successful blog or website not only requires high-quality content but content that is also easy to digest and find when searching online. Implementing a few copywriting tips when developing a new site of your own is a way to quickly increase your ranking in top search engines while also providing users with content that is genuinely helpful or useful to their everyday lives. Whether you want to grow a current website or if you are looking to launch a new blog from the ground up, using the right SEO copywriting tips can ultimately mean the difference between failure and success online.

Know Your Target Audience and Demographic

Knowing the target audience and demographic you want to reach is essential anytime you are looking to grow a website and its followers. Are your users mostly men or female? Are your loyal shoppers more interested in humor, or serious content? How do your followers react to new products and services? The more data and analytics you are able to collect on your browsers, the easier it becomes to craft engaging and viral copywriting content.

Be Concise and To The Point

Avoid drawing out simple subjects and creating long and boring reads. Remain concise and to the point at all times when adding new content. Drive a clear message with each update you share, whether you are promoting a new product or if you are sharing tips and tricks that may be relevant and interesting to your readers’ lives.

Create Useful and Relevant Content

Always create both useful and relevant content before publishing new pages live on your website. Research trending keywords and topics to expand on a subject that is most likely to resonate with your readers and loyal followers. Keep up with the latest posts of blogs that are similar to your own and have the same audience and demographics.

Use Subheaders and Bullet Points

Use subheaders and bullet points on each of your website’s pages and blog entries. Subheaders and bullet points not only help to make content easier to read and more digestible, but they are also beneficial for search engines. Properly dividing and breaking up your website’s content helps search engines to read it easier while deciphering who you are trying to reach with each new post you publish.

Metatags

Implement metatags into all of your website’s page titles and the titles of posts you share. Metatags can be easily implemented with a CMS such as WordPress, Drupal, or Joomla, Using a CMS such as WordPress gives you complete and total control over how your content is presented and the metatags used in search engine results. Compare the popularity of keywords in your industry using Google Trends before selecting metatags that are optimal for your website.

Get Creative With Your CTA Copy

Each time you create a CTA (Call To Action) on a webpage or blog you publish, alternate the copy you use for your CTA, or “call to action”. Because CTA text can quickly become monotonous or “salesy“, it is important to get as creative as possible to catch the attention of your readers without having them automatically dismiss your link due to being overtly promotional or corporate. Mixing up your CTA copy is possible in the middle of articles or by changing the type of wording used in each CTA you publish and share.

Avoid Spamming Keywords and Links

With each new article or blog you publish, avoid spamming buzzwords, keywords, and the same links to your website repeatedly. When you share the same links and keywords in each article on your website, you increase the risk of being flagged by search engines as “spam”, or blacklisted entirely from the top search engine results. Remain self-aware of each post you create and the overall format you use to ensure you are not overly spamming the same keywords and links into each of your posts (on both your official website and social media platforms).

Integrating SEO writing tips into the new content you share with visitors and customers is a way for you to truly resonate with your audience while also boosting your rankings within top search engines such as Google, Yahoo!, and Bing. With a thorough understanding of SEO and how to incorporate search engine optimization with copywriting is essential when you are faced with a highly-competitive industry or market online.

One more useful thing concerning the content is proofreading. This perspective applies, in particular, to those blogs that decided to translate their content into multiple languages. If you are unsure of your strength than it`s better to find the professional service as TheWordPoint.com who can be a help in such matter

I agree with the information in this article. But I believe, that a good SEO alone would not help to boost traffic. At least I made an experience where I got traffic at all after I did some back link building. What would you say?

  3. I wonder if I could increase traffic with these methods in a high competitive niche?

These can certainly help, depending on what you’ve already applied to your website.

However, any competitive space may require a longer strategy – for quick wins you may want to look at a combination of paid traffic and organic.

For example, increase spend on AdWords and other traffic solutions such as direct search networks. Once your organic traffic grows to a satisfactory level, dial down paid and focus on specific keywords.

  4. Amazing blog! Do you have any tips for aspiring
writers? I’m hoping to start my own site soon but I’m a little lost on everything.
Would you propose starting with a free platform like WordPress or go for a paid option?
There are so many choices out there that I’m completely confused .. Any suggestions? Kudos!
