Some of you may already be aware of the up and coming major update from Google called "Caffeine". Reported to speed up search results and make the results even more relevant for the searcher, YAY!

In the past major Google search updates have not gone unnoticed, without striking fear into you all too much, the previous major Google updates  (2003 and 2005/2006) did see some "shift" in the search engine results, sites did drop, others benefiting from the index update.

Recently Google rep Matt Cutts suggested that page load times / speed of your website will affect your site position in Google. This hint is in line with other news the Google plan to "speed up the internet".
