“How come I can’t find my site in Google?”
If I had a dollar coin in my pocket every time I was asked this question I’d need a belt to keep my pants up.
Here are a few points to consider when checking to see if you site has been indexed by Google:
1. How old is your website? If you have recently purchased the domain and created the site then Google may not even know your site exists, in that case it’s a good idea to do a search engine submission. The submission tells the search engine that your site exists and it should come and visit.
2. Try searching for your domain name i.e. if your web address is www.MattsRedRunners.com then search for MattsRedRunners.com OR MattsRedRunners. This is almost a sure fire way to return your website within the Google search results.
3. If your site sells Nike runners and you are doing a search for the site using the search term “buy Nike runners”, you may not show up in Google. The reason for your site not appearing could be due to it’s not been optimized for the term “buy Nike runners”.
Google like all other search engines are busy accepting submissions and crawling the web. If you expect that once you’ve created a website and submitted it to the search engines you will be getting traffic the next day, I’m sorry to say but you will be sadly disappointed. It can take engines weeks to include your website into the search results.
There are other ways to get your site found in a search engine within 48 hours, for more information about this check out the following links:

thanks! : )
Nice post. It’s interesting for me.
It’s very good.
Thanks for information.
Good points. But this question could also come from an webmaster in trouble, like the site has been penalized. In this regards, You might want to see if this query will return positive ‘site:yourdomain.com’. Also, you may want to check your site’s PR. Some say if your site was PR 4 then it went Unranked, and you can’t find it when you try search your domain named, then you might have been removed by the Search Engine due to some violation.
